October Winner - Botshabelo wagon by Helouise Mulder

Taking up photography was a life changing experience to me. It made me look at everything around me differently and I love the challenges that come with it. In 2010, I joined Centurion Camera Club and started with this fascinating hobby.  Street photography and anything where people or animals are present are my favourite subjects to photograph. Sport photography is still a BIG challenge but with persistence I'm sure it will become easier.  There is much to learn and to enjoy, so hopefully I'll be having fun all over with my camera for many more years to come.

I joined Maritzburg Camera Club in 2011, after years of being fascinated with photography. My interest lies firstly with Macro, followed closely by Still Life & Nature/Wildlife.

My husband is also a keen amateur photographer and with us both being retired, all our vacations are determined by photo opportunities.

My passion for photography lies with nature photography. Macro and landscapes to a lesser degree, but absolutely crazy about bird photography. This started from when I was a keen bird watcher and then progressed into wanting to enjoy my sightings with photographs afterwards.

I have been a “happy snapper” for most of my adult life but in 2010 decided to take up photography as a serious hobby.  I joined the Centurion Camera Club the following year and since then my photography has become little more than a serious hobby.

My wife and I rarely plan any outing or holiday without considering our photographic needs.  I participate in all genres of photography but are very keen on street and landscape photography.  I also joined the AV Makers SA club in 2014 as I want to expand my horizons.

I am an amateur Photographer based in Cape Town South Africa, on a journey like many others from snapshots to what hopefully someday will be great shots. I started off shooting film, during my schooldays, and made the transition to digital about 5 years ago. My photographic interests are varied though my preference is nature, travel and landscapes. I am a member of the Cape Town Photographic Society.
